Migration as a consequence of antisemitism: Jewish life in Germany

What demographic data reveal about security, belonging, and the future prospects of the German Jewish community

Dr Daniel Staetsky

The public Autumn Academy “Antisemitism and the ‘Crisis’ of Truth” addressed one of the most pressing challenges of our time: the rise of antisemitism in the context of disinformation and the erosion of fact-based discourse. At its core lies the question of how antisemitism can be effectively addressed when narratives become increasingly detached from reality.

This two-and-a-half-day event brought together leading experts and early-career researchers to discuss empirical findings and theoretical concepts in critical antisemitism research, education, and prevention.

This panel is dedicated to contemporary research on Jewish life in Germany - and to the most significant gaps in knowledge. What demographic data reveal about security, belonging, and future prospects of Jewish life in Germany, and where robust evidence is still lacking?

With:

  • Dr. Daniel Staetsky (Institute for Jewish Policy Research)
  • Prof. Dr. Julia Bernstein (Network of Jewish Academics & Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences)

Moderator: Deidre Berger (Tikvah Institute)
