Leeds Jewish leaders ponder future

As part of our ongoing efforts to ensure that JPR's work is utilised throughout the British Jewish community, Jonathan Boyd presented our recent work to leaders of the Jewish community in Leeds.

The presentation, which focused particularly on how best to support the development of social care in the Leeds Jewish community, involved senior representatives of the Leeds Jewish Welfare Board, Leeds Jewish Housing Association, and the city's highly impressive elderly care facility at Donisthorpe Hall.

According to UK Census data, the Leeds Jewish population declined in size by over 17% between 2001 and 2011. Nevertheless, the city still houses the third largest Jewish population in the Britain, after London and Manchester.
